IL-1F5抗体 Background
Interleukin-1 family member 5, also known as Interleukin-1 delta, Interleukin-1-like protein 1, Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist homolog 1, IL-1-related protein 3, IL-1RP3 and IL1F5, is a secreted protein which belongs to theIL-1 family. IL1F5 / IL1RP3 is predominantly expressed in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts, endothelial cells or melanocytes. IL1F5 / IL1RP3 is also detected in the spleen, brain leukocyte and macrophage cell types. Increased in lesional psoriasis skin. Expression of IL1RL2, IL1F5, and IL1F6 is increased in human psoriatic skin. Dysregulated expression of novel agonistic and antagonistic IL-1 family member ligands can promote cutaneous inflammation, revealing potential novel targets for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders. IL1F5 / IL1RP3 is a highly and a specific antagonist of the IL-1 receptor-related protein 2-mediated response to interleukin 1 family member 9 (IL1F9). IL1F5 / IL1RP3 could constitute part of an independent signaling system analogous to interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1A), beta (IL-1B) receptor agonist and interleukin-1 receptor type I (IL-1R1), that is present in epithelial barriers and takes part in local inflammatory response.
